Former judge dies

Retired Judge Graciano Hechanova Arinday Jr. died of liver cancer at about 2:45 a.m. Monday at the Bacolod Doctor’s Hospital, his daughter Gia Arinday said yesterday.

Arinday, 83, served as Judge of Regional Trial Court Branch 69 in Silay City, Negros Occidental, and retired from the service in 1999.

He is survived by his children Gracebelle Sembrano, Gina, Gia, Glenn Peter, George, Geryl, George, Gracchi and Gracchus. His wife, with former Pilar Lobaton, a retired teacher, is now deceased.

His remains now lie in state at the Jade Chapel of the Alisbo Memorial Chapels. Interment will be on Sunday at the Victorias Memorial Park, after the 2:30 p.m. mass at the BMP Chapel.*APN
