NOPSSCEA sports body
maps out 2012-13 plans

The tournament managers of the 13 sports events that will be played in the 2012-2013 Negros Occidental Private Schools Sports Cultural Education Association (NOPSSCEA) season met yesterday to start mapping out their plans for the competition this year.

NOPSSCEA Sports task force chairman and basketball tournament manager Anthony Carlo Agustin said they discussed, among others, the proposed venues for the events and the budget for each event.

Appointed to supervise the games as tournament managers are Yolly Vingno (athletics), Rey Fama (badminton), Kim Dumdum (chess), Dennis Estaniel (football), Rexie Diocares (karatedo), Tessie Ongkee (swimming), Nehemias Montecillo (sepak takraw), Michael Yanos (table tennis), Harny Abuada (taekwondo), Malot Lozada (volleyball and beach volleyball).

Meanwhile, the NOPPSCEA Board of Directors will meet today, 2 p.m. at the Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod President’s Conference Room for committee updates and finalization of the calendar of activities.

The NOPSSCEA season is set to open on September 14.*NAB
