DOLE launches nat’l
skills registry system

The Department of Labor and Employment has launched the National Skills Registry System Program that will enable Filipino workers to register online to aid them in looking for jobs, a press release from DOLE Region 6 said.

President Benigno Aquino III underscored the importance of the DOLE’s s National Skills Registry System, which he said would help narrow down the mismatch between an individual’s skills against current job availability, a common problem experienced by new graduates.

The registry system aims to strengthen the current information of skilled workers already registered in DOLE Phil-JobNet. The registry will provide immediate basis of human resource and statistics, the press release said.

Now the registry is also extending their resource in cooperating with different establishments to register online and post their current vacancies and business information. This will provide an avenue for easy access both on the employee and the employer, it added.

The url link for establishments to register on Phil-Job.net and their own profile is http://phil-job.net/company/index.php?action=signup, the press release said.

Those who wish for further information may contact DOLE Bacolod at (034) 4342214, it added.*
