Sipalay cattle center set
to open – Decena

A deed of usufruct will be signed today between the province of Negros Occidental and a private land owner to use the latter’s 15 hectare-lands in Sipalay City as a Provincial Satellite Sheep Breeding Center.

Dr. Renante Decena said yesterday that Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. Vice Gov. Genaro Alvarez, and land owner Merceditas Montilla will sign the agreement today on the use of the land in Brgy. Canturay, Sipalay City, for five years.

He said Montilla has agreed to lend the land to the province because she believes in the passion of the governor in making Negros sustainable in livestock production and food security and that she is willing to assist the province in the land pasture and development of the area.
