The Technology and Livelihood Development Center that assists small producers of Negros Occidental has generated P43,063.40 sales last month, which is 14.63 percent higher than March, Menji Joy Rojo, food sector in-charge, said yesterday.
Rojo said March sales was only P37,568.40 and most of the income came from consigned products displayed at the center.
She said the monthly income of TLDC fluctuates but most of their sales are from consigned products where manufactured goods are produced by local manufacturers.
Rojo also said that 10 percent of the sales, or P4,306.34, goes to the province as provided in the provincial tax code while the remaining amount are returned to the food producers.
Other income of TLDC comes from rentals of equipment, training rooms, and photocopying, she added.
Some of the products sold at the center are nata de coco of Toboso, oyster sauce of Hinigaran, coco honey of Valladolid, muscovado sugar of Alter Trade, and herbal products like yacon juice, sambong capsule, mangosteen capsule, cinnamon capsule, and herbal oils. *LTG
