6-year-old needs help
BY LISA GAPAC

The widowed mother of a 6-year-old girl from Taloc, Bago City, is appealing for help for her daughter who has been diagnosed with acute leukemia, probably lymphoid, T/C sepsis and is still confined at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City.

Fatima Estoquia has been in the hospital for almost one month but her attending physician said she needs to undergo a bone marrow test and if given the chemotherapy treatment, there is a big chance for her to survive.

Before she was diagnosed with acute leukemia, Fatima experienced body malaise and pallor, her medical records showed.

Leonora, the mother, is appealing for the help of DAILY STAR readers to help with the medical needs and hospital expenses of Fatima, who also needs blood transfusion.

Leonora has four other children and they live in a farm where their income from seasonal work in the rice field is unstable.

Any assistance for the patient may be coursed through the DAILY STAR office.*LTG
