The Hotel and Restaurants Association of Negros Occidental will hold “Sabor Bisaya, A Culinary Competition and Food Expo that aims to promote and improve the standards of food service industry in Negros Occidental next month at the Convention Hall, Bacolod Pavillion in Bacolod City, Maricar Dabao of Jovial Media Events, said yesterday.
Dabao said the event will host a culinary competition open to students and professionals, a food expo that will showcase latest products, equipment, and technology related to food industry, seminars, and product demonstrations by leading food manufacturers and suppliers.
The culinary competition will include chef wars, Na’Nam, a Feast of Negrense Flavors, Visayan cuisine challenge, seafood challenge, organic cuisine challenge, cake decoration, bartending challenge, table setting, and barista challenge.
She is inviting professional chefs and cooks, hotel and restaurant proprietors, culinary schools, and food and wine enthusiasts from Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, Panay, and Cebu to join the event that is supported by the Bacolod-Negros Occidental Bakers’ Association, Resorts Association of Negros Island, Organic na Negros! Organic Producers and Retailers Association, Association of Negros Producers, and Council of Hotel and Restaurant Educators of the Philippines.
