CARP beneficiaries
installed in Sipalay

The Department of Agrarian Reform, south provincial office in Negros Occidental installed 26 agrarian reform beneficiaries in seven landholdings in Brgy. Camindangan, Sipalay City, recently.

Gloria Cañonero, DAR senior agrarian reform program technologist,said yesterday, the land holdings have a total land area of 63 hectares from various owners while some were foreclosed by the Development Bank of the Philippines and turned over to DAR for redistribution to the ARBs.

DAR also explained to the ARBs their rights and obligations after they received the Certificates of Land Ownership Awards, she said.

Scholars complete
call center training

Fifty scholars under the Industry-Training for Work Scholarship Program of the Negros Occidental Language and Information Technology Center completed their 100-hour free call center training, yesterday, a press release from NOLITC said.

The I-TWSP scholarship was funded by the Business Processing Association of the Philippines thru the Bacolod-Negros Occidental Federation for Information and Communications Technology in partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Negros Occidental and NOLITC.

The scholars came from Hinobaan, Murcia, Bago, Silay, Kabankalan, San Enrique.
