Bacolod-based band wins
‘Battle of the Bands’ finals

“Dungeonz”, a Bacolod-based live band, was among the winners in the Battle of the Bands finals of San Miguel Pale Pilsen’s “Sarap Mag Babad” series of summer events recently, a press release from the company said.

The other winners were the “Dagta” band of Pasig; “Racel & the Bees”, Ilocos Norte; “Lover Boys”, Bohol; “Green Republic” based in Ormoc; “Raggadub” of Davao City; and “Edgestock” band of Tagum, Davao del Norte, the press release added.

While there is usually one grand winner in band competitions, the company opted to proclaim one champion for each area to inspire the seven winning bands to begin their career on a good footing, the press release also said.

The competition that the beer brand has revived this year spiced up the culmination of its “Taste of Summer” campaign conducted at the Manokan Country in Bacolod City; Tiendesitas in Pasig City; Valdez Center in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte; Ormoc Food Park in Ormoc City; Tagbilaran Port in Tagbilaran City, Bohol; Tagum Trade Center in Tagum, Davao del Norte; and Bogsers’s by the Sea in Davao City, the press release added.*
