Batch ’71 keeps No. 1 spot
in SJHS bowling tourney

Batch ’71 takes the lead in the St. Joseph High School – La Salle Inter-Alumni Bowling Tournament at the Lopue’s East Bowling Centre in Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City, with 15,959 pinfalls after 32 matches.

Batch ’71 led by Jessie Sanchez, takes the No. 1 spot against nine teams in the tournament..

Second is Batch ’88-01 headed by Minnie Chua with 15,924 points.

The other competing squads are Class ’69 with 14,799; Class ’72, 14,689; Class ’78, 14,681; Class ’83, 14,537; Class ’80-81, 14,474; Class ’84, 14,240; Class ’68, 14,197, and Class ’75, 14,174.

Only C’71, C’88-01, and C’72 have completed their 32 games assignment, while the rest played only 29 games.

Batch ’88 holds the team’s highest single record with 584, and C’69 in triple with 1,644.

Art Palo of B’84, registered the individual highest pinning in the men’s bracket with 96, as Carl Aguda, of B’88-01 and Melot Alimon of C’69 booked the single and triple records with 160 and 397, respectively.

Meanwhile, the Suppliers Friendship Cup Open Trio Bowling Championship resumes tonight at the New Top’s Millennium Plaza Alley.

Kami Mga Hubin of Robbie Elegado is still on top with 5,586 followed by Silverado ASSFBI of Cecil Ramon Silverio with 5,501.*HLG
