Reactions on
Pacquiao-Bradley fight

Social network websites yesterday were flooded with comments and reactions denouncing the split decision that favored American Timothy Bradley over Manny Pacquiao in their WBO welterweight title fight at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas.

Celebrities, international and local artists expressed their disappointment over the decision, some pointing out that it was rigged.

Compubox statistics showed that Pacquiao has thrown and landed more punches

Justin Timberlake tweeted “ cannot believe what I just saw... Please tell me they read that decision wrong.”

Even American Idol runner-up Jessica Sanchez who sang the “Star Spangled Banner”, the US national anthem for Bradley was disappointed.

“Congrats to the new winner but I'm still really upset about the results,” Sanchez  said with a sad face icon on her tweeter account.

Another American idol winner, Chris Daughtry tweeted “ Bradley did not deserve that win!!!! This is a disgrace!”

From Jessica Biel: “What a joke! I can't believe they gave it to Bradley.”

Pop star MileyCyrus joined the chorus of disappointed boxing fans when she tweeted “ Yo Manny! You just gotta remember what my daddy always told me `when you knock em out, you dont need no judge!’

Boxer Oscar dela Hoya, who had  tried how severe the Pacman punches were, agreed that Paquiao won the fight. He tweeted, “Bradley should have given the belt and announce victory to Pacquiao right after the decision.”*AFP
