Region 7 has new DENR head

CEBU CITY -- The Department of Environment and Natural Resources has a new regional executive director.

DENR Secretary Ramon JP Paje has designated Dr. Isabelo Montejo as OIC-Regional Executive Director in Central Visayas.

Montejo replaced Director Maximo Dichoso who has been reassigned as Regional Executive Director of the DENR Region 3 in Pampanga.

Montejo said the reassignment of key officials is part of the continuing organizational development instituted by Paje to pursue its various flagshipprograms and projects on environmental protection and management.

Montejo holds a doctorate degree in Management in Public Administration and a master’s degree in Business Administration, both from the University of the Visayas.

He earned his BS in Forestry at the Visayas State College of Agriculture, now Leyte State University. He rose from the ranks from forester and later as Regional Technical Director for Forestry.*PIA
