A farmer died, while his son and two others survived shooting and stabbing incidents Sunday and Monday in the cities of Sagay, Cadiz and Silay, all in Negros Occidental.
All the suspects managed to escape, however, police records also showed.
Hermogenes Martines,60, succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds after he and his son, Rene, 28, were shot allegedly by Julius and Carter Veloso on Sunday in Purok Gracia, Brgy,. Magsaysay, Cadiz City.
Martinez was declared dead on arrival at the Cadiz City Emergency Clinic. His son, who was hit in the right forearm survived, investigations of the Cadiz police also showed.
The two suspects, who are residents of Brgy. Villacin, Cadiz City, immediately fled after shooting them.
Rubin Pesquera, 9, is now being treated for a stab wound in the lower abdomen, that allegedly inflicted by Edzen Baladhay, alias Nono, who is now at-large.
Pesquera was stabbed, allegedly by Baladjay on Monday in Hacienda San Gregorio, Brgy. E Lopez in Silay City.
Policemen are also in pursuit of JR Losiman and his unidentified companion who allegedly shot and stabbed Jemar Panonce in Sitio Bateria, Brgy. Rafaela Barrera in Sagay City on June 17.
Investigations by the Sagay police showed that Panonce and his companions were on their way home, when they saw Losiman banging the main door of a chapel, and this had irritated them.
Losiman, allegedly hacked Panonce in the back for punching him, Although injured, Panonce managed to run, but he was hit in the buttocks by a shot from the unidentified companion of Losiman.
Chief Inspector Gabriel Gutierrez, Sagay police chief, said Panonce, who is now confined at the Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital, is now in a stable condition.* GPB
