LNA7 3-on-3 finals
set today at WNU

The top teams in four age-groups that will vie for the title in their respective brackets will be known today at the last phase of the eliminations ends of the 1 st LNA7 3-on-3 Basketball Challenge 2012 at the West Negros University gym.

The tournament kicked off last weekend with the participating teams contesting the crown in the 10 and under, 12 and under, 15 and under and the 17 and under age groups.

With only a few games remaining, St. John's Institute remains unbeaten in Bracket A 10-Under with five wins, while Mansilingan Basketball Club is at No. 2 with a 3-1 win-loss card.

In 10-under Bracket B, Stallions (4-0) took the No. 1 spot, while SJI-White (3-1) placed No. 2.

SJI Team A (4-0) topped the 12-Under Bracket A with Trinity Christian School (3-1) at No. 2. In Bracket B, Stallions booked the No.1 seat followed by TCS-B in No.2.

In the 15-under, West Negros University Junior Mustangs head both brackets with the Mustangs Dark in Bracket A while Mustangs White in Bracket B.

The Mustangs and the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos Rams share the lead in 17-under Bracket A and B with two wins each..

Meanwhile, the semifinals matches today will be played after the elimination games are completed. Crossover semifinals games in all age-group divisions will be played in the afternoon while the finals will follow.

Tournament director Elvis Atinado earlier stressed that this tournament aimed to revive the 3-on-3 basketball in the province.*NAB
