Free urinalysis check held

The Bacolod Initiative Nurturing Good Health Program held yesterday free urinalysis checks for employees at the New Government Center, conducted by Dr. Babylin Drilon, City Health officer III, a press release from the city said.

The macroscopic process, a urinalysis check that uses plastic strips and the naked eye to analyze, checked over 100 patients, with several passing the test.

The activity was in partnership with Biomedis Unilab district manager Roberto Roxas, and Kris Barilea and Jessica Nely Pacheco providing the sample medicines and testing materials, the press release said.

B.I.N.G. Health also recently conducted a prostate cancer test using blood analysis aside from other recommended laboratory procedures to determine a patient's physical condition relative to the disease. Several city employees were able to avail of the test.

Bacoleños interested in urinalysis checkup involving the microscopic process may contact the Bacolod Health Center, headed by Dr. Salome Biñas, the press release added.*
