Despedida for Msgr. Que

buddai

The strong rain did not stop the family and friends of Msgr. Noly Que from attending the despedida dinner party for him Saturday at the Msgr. John B. Liu Activity Center.

By 7 p.m., all seats were occupied and the waiters were busy serving chopped letchon in every table. Musical presentations by the St. Jude Students, the Mother Butler Mission Guild, and St. Mary’s Association, were highlights of the night’s program, before dinner was served.

The works and accomplishments of Msgr. Que were recognized. He arrived in Bacolod 14 years ago to minister to the Filipino Chinese Catholics at the Queen of Peace Parish, and to take good care of Msgr. John Su, Que’s rector, during his seminary days.

Que got involved with the Negros Occidental Private School Sports Cultural and Educational Association. He was also responsible for the construction, landscaping and beatifying of the Domus Dei for the sickly, elderly and retired brother-priests in the Diocese of Bacolod.*

Remember: Lord, enlighten what is dark in me; strengthen what is weak in me; mend what is broken in me, and revive whatever peace and love have died in me. Teach me to practice humility at all times.
