Army to honor
supporters, soldiers

The Army’s 303rd Infantry Brigade will mark its 26th founding anniversary on June 30 at Camp Major Nelson Gerona in Brgy.Minoyan, Murcia, by giving awards to 15 outstanding soldiers and 12 civilians , who actively supported the peace and development campaign in Negros Occidental.

The celebration, theme is -303rd Brigade: Kaagapay ng mga Negrense sa Bayanihan tungo sa Kapayapaan and Kaunlaran”. The highlights is the recognition of individuals and organizations for their support in the implementation of the 303rd 113 Internal Peace and Security paradigm “Bayanihan”, its commander, Col. Oscar Lactao, said.

The Military Merit Medals, will be given to 1Lt. Florante Mabalot Jr., Sgt. Allen Villariez, Cpl. Alvin Ali and PFC Freddie Marciales, while Military Commendation Medals will be given to Lt. Col. Isabelo de los Reyes, Majors Ebenizer Escaniel and Alex Elnar, 1Lts. Tommy Bertoldo and Lord Laurence Medina, TSgts. Celestino Achuela, Joselito Cuyos, Teresita Pasol, and SSgt. Alvin Caviero.

Major Richeneil Amancio and SSgt. Rodelio will be conferred the Military Action Medals by Major General Jose Mabanta, commanding general of the 3rd Infantry Division, who will be the guest of honor and speaker.

The civilian awardees are Anna Marie Lucasan, Dr. Renante Decena, Rev. Fr. Aniceto Buenafe, Murcia Mayor Andrew Montelibano, EB Magalona Mayor David Albert Lacson, Sagay City Mayor LKeo Rafael Cueva, Gerald Joseph Sarrosa ,TESDA director Lorena Yunque and Herbert Tubio of the Victorias Milling Company.

Negros Occidental Gov. Alfredo Maranon, will assist Mabanta and Lactao in the distribution of awards to Philippine Army supporters in Negros Occidental.* GPB
