Bethanians hold tree planting

Around 64 Bethanians from Royal Meadows and 20 basketball varsity players from the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos planted more than 500 trees in Barangay Alangilan, Bacolod City, as part of the 50th anniversary celebration of the Bacolod Bethany Church, recently, its press release said.

The program started with the planting of a narra, dubbed as the “remembrance tree”, at the church annex lot, led by Rev. Lovel Clavel, Pastor Arnel Macitas, Sam Robles, Rommel Aledron and Israel Telis, the press release also said.

The Bethany kids, led by Lyka Derayunan and Apple Calalas, witnessed the planting with church elders Noel and Luzvisminda Zulueta, Myrna Gallo and Erlinda “Nene” Macitas. The remembrance tree will be a reminder for future generations to continue the mission and vision of the church for the glory and honor of God, the press release said.

The activity at Alangilan was supported by Bayani Lacson and Geno Sedonio and complemented the clean and green campaign of Bacolod, the press release added.*
