The two-day Coca-Cola-Negros Press Club-Kapisanan ng mga Broadkasters sa Pilipinas Inter-Media Bowling Friendship Games unfolds today at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.
NPC president Arman Toga said newspaper outfits, radio stations, and TV networks in Bacolod are vying for team and individual honors.
Toga said some media outlets opted to merge their teams to come up with a stronger contingent.
Teams that have confirmed their entries in the tournament are NPC officers, Negros Daily Bulletin/SCOOP, The Visayan DAILY STAR, Sunstar, NPC past presidents, Negros Weekly, RPN-DYKB, DYWB – Bombo Radyo, DYAF – Radyo Veritas, DYEZ – Aksyon Radyo, DYRL – Abyan Radyo, Killer Bee, GMA TV 13, Panay News/Watchmen, DYHB – Radyo Agong, ABS-CBN, and host Coca-Cola Team.
Games will start at 1 p.m.
The top four teams after three games will vie for the title in an up-the-ladder system to determine the champion tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the BCNHS/NOHS/DLNHS Triangular Bowlfest For Unity 2012 will resume on Sunday at 4 p.m. at the same venue.
BCNHS ’89 leads the premiere class with 3,040 points, while NOHS ’97 and NOHS ’70-71 took the No.1 post in category B and C with 2,954 and 2,928 apiece.*HLG
