Two men allegedly mauled and raped a teenager at the Bacolod City reclamation area yesterday.

The 19-year-old told the police she came from an eatery at the junction of Rizal and Lacson streets, Bacolod City, at about 1 a.m. when the suspects, who were on board a motorcycle, blocked her way.

The suspects forced her to go with them to the reclamation area where they raped her, she said.

The victim, whose name is being withheld, sought the help of a security guard detailed at a nearby warehouse when the suspects had left.

She was brought by the Patrol 117 rescue team to an undisclosed hospital in Bacolod City, where she is now confined and is reportedly in a state of shock.

City police director, Senior Supt. Ricardo de la Paz, has ordered Insp. Jovy Cabcaban, chief of the Women and Children’s Complaints Desk, to conduct a thorough investigation of the incident.

De la Paz also ordered the immediate arrest of the two suspects, who were at large as of press time.*APN
