Twenty law graduates of the University of St. La Salle and the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos in Bacolod City passed the 2011 Bar Examinations, officials of both universities said yesterday.
A total of 1,913 or 31.95 percent out of the 5,987 examinees who completed taking the 2011 Bar Examinations passed the first predominant multiple choice question-type tests in the Bar’s 110-year history, Court Administrator Jose Midas Marquez said yesterday.
The number is the “second highest rate in the millennium”, he said.
The USLS passers are Ma. Conchita Antipatia, Charmaine Arbolado, Raymond Danico, Jose Edward Davila, Allyn Luv Zamora-Dignadice, Valentino Espiritu, Karen Joyce Go, Shelou Matti, Eveart Grace Pomarin and Jul Davi Pandan-Saez, Ralph Sarmiento, USLS College of Law dean, said.
The UNO-R passers are Marian A. Binondo, , Robert T. Estandarte, Romylen A. Germinal, Ramon Jose B. Iligan, Gerald John G. Joven, Serafin D. Lopez Jr., Karl G. Lotilla, Ma. Rosafe Amelou V. Saril, Clodualdo E. Subaldo Jr., June M. Vaflor, UNO-R spokesman Carlos Legaspi said.
Oathtaking of the successful Bar candidates is set at 2 p.m. on March 21, at the Philippine International Convention Center, the SC announced.
The Bar passers may secure their clearances from the Office of the Bar Confidant during office hours, Monday to Friday, beginning today to March 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., it added.*CPG back
