Cops release sketches
of 2 slay suspects

The Bacolod City Police released yesterday the facial sketches of two out of four suspects in the fatal shooting of a caretaker in Brgy. Pahanocoy, Bacolod City, Tuesday.

Based on the sketch drawn by the artist of the National Bureau of Investigation, one of the suspects is described to be between 30 to 35 years-old, about 5 feet and 6 inches tall, and at least 140 lbs in weight.

His companion is about 40 to 45 years old, at least 5 feet and 14 inches tall and more or less 140 lbs in weight. Both suspects were of the decent type and are dark in complexion.

One of the suspects was wearing a black jacket and denim pants, while his companion was clad in a black sleeveless shirt and denim pants.

Contrary to what had been reported, there are four suspects in the killing of Teodoro Estaniel, 50, of Purok Seaside in Brgy. Punta Taytay, Bacolod, the police said.

Estaniel, is a house caretaker in Purok RC 2 in Brgy. Pahanocoy, was found at his workplace lying on his back, bathed in blood and with a lone gunshot wound at about 8 p.m. Monday.

The killing of Estaniel happened three months after the decomposing body of his wife Lorna, a faith healer, was found in a sugarcane field in Purok Oya in Brgy. Pahanocoy, Bacolod, in October last year.

Bacolod City Police Director Senior Supt. Ricardo De la Paz said they believe that the deaths of the couple are inter-related because of the manner of the killing.

De la Paz added that there killing could be love-related, and had something to do with the work of Lorna as a faith healer or it could be the result of a personal grudge, since they received information that the former caretakers of the house where Teodoro works had been fired.

He said t they also noticed that one of the suspects in the killing of Teodoro Estaniel has similar features with one of the suspects in the death of his wife.*APN
