Batch ’89 regains top spot in
NOHS bowling tourney

Batch ’89 regained the top spot in team standings of the premier division, as Class ’71 and Batch ’95 lead in category B and C of the Negros Occidental High School General Alumni Homecoming Inter-class Bowlfest for Unity at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

With seven more rounds left, the Batch ’89 bowlers again lead the overall standing with a total score of 10,201 points, followed by erstwhile leader Class ’82 with 10,183, and defending champion Class ’73, 10,145.

Rounding out the same division are Batch ’97 with 10,126; Class ’66, 10,110; Class ’84, 9,814; Class ’68, 9,677; Class ’83, 9,619; Class 54/56/59 Combined, 9,612, and Class ’67, 9,547.

In category B, Class ’71 is now No.1 from No.2 with 9,627, and Class ’65 is second with 9,565 balls.

Class ’90 and Class ’80 are third and fourth with 9,525 and 9,521 respectively.

Team ’67 has 9,490; Class ’85, 9,485; Class ’70, 9,429; Class ’74, 9,373; Class ’58, 9,274, and Class ’88, 9,194.

Leading in bracket C is Batch ’95 with 9,244. Class ’62 and ’75 Sec. placed second and third with 9,134 and 9,119.

Other scores: Batch 2000 Up, 9,106; Class ’91, 9,091; Batch ’92, 8,935; Class ’77, 8,880; Batch ’98, 8,850; Class ’87, 8,738, and Class ’75, 8,502.

Class ’73 and Class ’66 hold the team’s highest single and triple with 546 and 1,560, respectively.

The individual record of Class ’73 bet Hernand Garciniego in highest pinning, and teammate Felipe Boy Romero Jr. in single and triple at 147 and 367 are still intact.*HLG
