Two men were injured in a shooting incident, allegedly triggered by an old grudge, at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday in Brgy. Taculing, Bacolod City.
Station 6 commander, Chief Insp. Noel Polines, identified those injured as Rey Validor, 42, and Jildo Villegas, 44, both of Purok Jardin, Brgy. Taculing.
Investigation conducted by Senior Police Officer 1 Jose Roy Militante showed that Validor was driving his jeep when the suspect, identified as Jamer Hildao, 23, of La Paz District, Iloilo City shot him with an improvised shotgun, or sulpak, without provocation. Villegas, who was seated near Validor, was also hit.
Hildao left after the incident but was arrested in a follow-up operation at about 7:20 a.m. yesterday at his temporary residence in Purok Jardin, Polines said.
An improvised shotgun and live ammunition of a 12-gauge shotgun were recovered from Hildao during his arrest, he said.
Polines added that Hildao was also tagged in a shooting incident in Bangga Cory, Brgy. Taculing last year where one person was injured.
Hildao is detained at Police Station 6 lock-up cell and charges are being readied against him.*APN
