USLS-IS girls eyeing
another SGVL title

After taming the feisty St. John’s Institute, 25-21, 30-28, defending champion, University of St. La Salle-Integrated School now waits for the challenger to the title when the Shakey’s Girls Volleyball League Season 9 Negros elimination resume this weekend at the USLS Covered Court.

The La Salle girls are enjoying a twice-to-beat advantage going into the final match and will try to protect its crown against either SJI or Rafael Lacson National High School-Talisay as both squads play in a knockout match Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m.

After this weekend’s championship round, the champion from Negros will face the Iloilo winner on March 12, with the winner to represent Western Visayas in the national SGVL Tournament of Champions in Davao City on March 20 to 24.
