Two injured in
Bacolod mishaps

Two were injured, one a minor, in road accidents in Brgy. Bata in Bacolod City yesterday and Sunday.

Vincent Badayos, 9, of Talisay City, Negros Occidental, sustained injuries and was rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital when he was sideswiped by a tricycle near the flyover in Brgy. Bata at about midnight yesterday.

Tricycle driver Edgar Macantal said that in a television interview he was on his way to Brgy. Banago, Bacolod and Badayos, who was playing with other children near the flyover, suddenly crossed the street.

Badayos’ 6-year-old sister, whose name is being withheld, said they were on their way to get scrap materials at a nearby business establishment when his brother was sideswiped by the tricycle.

Meanwhile, a resident was injured when a truck rammed into his house in Purok Riverside, Brgy. Bata at about 11 p.m. Sunday.

Rio Rodico told ABS-CBN Bacolod that he with and his four children were sleeping when the truck rammed their house.

Rodico sustained injuries but his children were unharmed because they were able to get out of the house before it collapsed. The unidentified driver of the truck fled after the accident.*APN
