Love will find a way
Jurgene Vargas and RJ Salabas had long decided to marry but they couldn’t, as RJ’s Kuya Niño was still single, so they decided to postpone their wedding until Niño got married to his sweetheart Ester. This shows the love and respect RJ has for her beloved Kuya. And so on a beautiful day this March, Jurgene and RJ finally tied the knot at the Queen of Peace Parish with family and close friends present to witness the event.
The color theme for the wedding was yellow, and the church bloomed with all shades of this sunny color, from the sponsors to the guests. Jurgene looked dashing in his formal attire while he stood at the altar, waiting for his young bride.
And there she was, looking radiant in her elegant wedding gown, walking down the aisle with her kuya Niño and mom Elizabeth Salabas, who was misty-eyed throughout the affair. There were 48 principal sponsors, who were all smiles as they walked toward the front of the church. Rev. Fr. Romy Tumonon Jr. officiated the ceremony.
The reception was held at L’Fisher Hotel, where all the guests were treated to cocktails while waiting for the newlyweds. It was a well-arranged reception as the guests immediately knew where they were seated. Amidst applause and cheers, the newlyweds made their entrance with their entourage. The mood was light and happy while red wine flowed all afternoon. The merienda cena was truly scrumptious and everybody enjoyed the dishes specially prepared for the occasion.
Kuya Niño spoke of his loving little sister with much pride and affection. The guests laughed when he referred to their mom as “Queen Elizabeth”. Even Uncle Tom Orola sang a beautiful song for the bride and groom. We all went home with our special giveaways of bottles of excellent red wine.*
