Class ’73 paces
NOHS bowlfest

Class ’73 grabbed the leadership in the premiere division of the Negros Occidental High School Inter-class General Alumni Homecoming Bowlfest for Unity 2012 at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

Batch ’71 and Class ’95 are leading in Bracket B and C, respectively.

Ranked No. 3 after two games in the championship round, the Class ’73 now tops the overall tally in Class A with 11,663 pinfalls followed by Batch ’89 with 11,616.

Others are Class ’82, 11,603; Class ’66, 11,557; Batch ’97, 11,556; Class ’84, 11,187; Class ’68, 11,118; Class ’83, 11,001; Class ‘54/56/59 Combined, 10,940, and Class ’67, 10,951.

Batch ’71 is leading category B competitors with 11,107.

Class ’80 and Batch ’90 were second and third, with 11,056 and 10,957.

Class ’65 has 10,950; Class ’70, 10,905; Team ’67, 10,856; Class ’74, 10,798; Class ’58, 10,555, and Class ’88, 10,487.

In category C, Batch ’95 led with 10,664, while Class ’62 occupied the second spot with 10,533.

Third is ’75 sec with10,413 followed by Class ’91 with 10,406.

Other scores: Batch 2000 Up, 10,353; Class ’92, 10,207; Batch ’98, 10,181; Class ’77, 10,134; Class ’87, 10,039, and Class ’75, 9,760.

Class ’66 and Class ’73 records in the team’s highest single and triple are untouched at 546 and 1,560 each.

In the individual competition, Hernand Garciniego of Class ’73 and Emily P. of Class ’56 held the records in the men and women’s highest pinning with 97 and 89 apiece.

Class ’73 anchorman Felipe Boy Romero and Ronela Cordero of Batch ’89 had the highest single marks with 147 and 126, while Devonne Fernandez of Batch ’89 and Romero posted the triple records with 343 and 367, respectively.

Meanwhile, Batch ’85 of the Bacolod City National High School will host the one-day Pre-Panaad Open Trio Bowling Championship on March 24 at the New Top’s Millennium Plaza Alley in Bacolod City.

The event offers gift certificate worth P40,000 to the top four winners in the team competition, and the tournament’s master bowler.

Sponsoring group president John Malayang said registration fee for the five-game series event is P3,000.
