A tricycle driver was apprehended by Station 8 policemen after he and his cousin, who evaded arrest, allegedly ganged up and fatally stabbed a man, in front of a motel in Brgy. Alijis, Bacolod City, Saturday.

Nabbed was R-Jay Martinez, 27, of Purok Rosal in Brgy. Taculing, Bacolod, while police identified his cousin as Ronald Rosaceña, 30, of Purok Paghidaet in Brgy. Estefania.

NBI awaits ‘sex slavery’
complaint vs. policeman

The National Bureau of Investigation is still waiting for the statement of the victim, who claimed that her step-father, who is a policeman, had made her a sex slave.

NBI-Bacolod head Fernando Lavin said that after the victim has executed her formal complaints, they will issue a subpoena against the policeman so he could air his side.

Lavin said that they are coordinating with the Social Worker of the Department of Social Welfare and Development so they could meet with the complainant and get her statement.

He added that they already have copies of the results of the victim’s medical examination, which they will use in filing the case.

Accompanied by her biological father, the complainant, 17, sought the help of the NBI last week, claiming that her stepfather, a policeman, had made her a sex slave for almost 12 years now in their residence in a town in Negros Occidental.

The victim, whose name is being withheld by the DAILY STAR alleged that her stepfather, who is assigned in a town of Negros Occidental, started molesting her when she was 6 years old.

The teenager added that she had told her mother about her plight, but she would get mad, so she went to her father, whom she had not seen since she was a child.*APN

nabbed for scandal

Two security guards were arrested by Station 2 policemen for alleged alarm and scandal and direct assault at about 2:30 a.m. yesterday at 21st Lacson Street, Bacolod City.

Station 2 chief, Senior Insp. Robert Dejucos, identified the suspects as Bobby Laurente, 26, of Glendale Subdivision and Ricky Sayson, 42, of Purok Rosario, both in Brgy. Granada, Bacolod.

Investigation conducted by Police Officer 2 Christopher Profeta showed that an employee of the Foodpark Restaurant had complained that the security guards were fighting and creating alarm at the restaurant.
