Drug dealer nabbed

A suspected pusher of illegal drugs was arrested in San Jose, Negros Oriental, Sunday on the strength of a warrant issued by Judge Winston Villegas of the Regional Trial Court Branch 43.

Quintin Recto Retes Jr., 32, married, of Tapon Norte in San Jose town, was nabbed near a resort hotel at around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, after he managing to elude a dragnet several hours earlier, police records showed.

The police added that two transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, P11,000 in cash, a disposable lighter, mobile phone, and a Suzuki motorcycle were also seized from the suspect.

Retes is charged for violation of Section 11, Article II, of Republic Act 9165, or illegal drugs possession, the police said.*JFP
