Exhibit on quake at mall

Photo Exhibit on Negros Oriental Earthquake opens at Robinson’s Place

The Camera Club of Negros is holding an exhibit, featuring documentary photos of earthquake-hit La Libertad and Guihulngan City in Negros Oriental, at the 2nd level of Robinsons Place in Bacolod City, March 14 to 18, a press release from the group said.

The photos were taken during the trip of the CCN and the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, Negros Occ. Chapter, to the area, to deliver relief goods and medicines on February 26.

The exhibit shows the extent of the destruction and the situation on the ground three weeks after the powerful earthquake. It aims to make the people of Negros Occidental aware of what Negrenses on the other side of the island went through, and are still going through, as well as encourage those fortunate to have been spared by the catastrophe, to do something about it, the press release said.

Donations will be accepted at the exhibit venue, or interested donors may email to ccnegros@yahoo.com, the press release added.*
