The president of the Central Negros Electric Cooperative said yesterday said that its board of directors has passed a resolution authorizing assistant manager Edwin Montemayor to file charges of robbery-in-band against the suspects who stole P3.6 million from the firm.
Ceneco president, Arnel Lapore said they will meet with Bacolod City Police Director Senior Supt. Ricardo de la Paz today to finalize the documents needed so they could file the case before the City Prosecutor’s Office.
The charges will be filed against Gerlado Saniel “alias Gagang” and Roel Remedios, “alias Yoyong” both of Molave, Zamboanga del Sur, Richard Dagoman “alias Tangkad” of Tambulig, also in Zamboanga del Sur, Ruel Alvarez of Tangub City, Misamis Occidental, Reynaldo Bacolod “alias Toto” of Las Piñas City, and Joseph Calarmo of Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte and six other unidentified men.
De la Paz had said that CENECO should have a representative who will file the case, as the city police cannot lodge the complaints against the robbers.
Lapore said there was a delay in filing of the case as they needed to collate all the affidavits of the witnesses to the heist.
The CENECO board of directors also passed a resolution offering a cash reward of P300,000 to whoever could give information that will lead to the arrest of the suspects.
There are at least 10 witnesses in the case and all of them have already executed their affidavits against the 12 suspects, six of whom have already been identified.*APN back
