Symposium held
on CARPer law

The Provincial Agrarian Reform Office in Negros Oriental, in cooperation with the Silliman University College of Law and the Dr. Jovito Salonga Center for Law and Development, held another student symposium on R.A 9700, on the Strengthening the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program and its recent Amendments at the Silliman University, College of Law Moot Court recently, a press release from DAR said.

The symposium was designed to give graduating law students the opportunity to learn about the new law.

Senior or graduating law students from Silliman University, Foundation University and the Negros Oriental State University were invited to attend the symposium.

The activity was attended by Provincial Agrarian Reform Officer I Lumel Dael-Chiu and Norberto Denura, Agrarian desk head of the Salonga Law Center.

The speakers were Louie Naranjo, the Chief of the Legal Assistance Division and Vivian Olis-Maquiling, Provincial Agrarian Reform Adjudicator.

This is the second in the series of symposia held in Dumaguete City in line with the DAR’s awareness campaign on the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program Extension with Reforms law, the press release added.*
