Job fair held in Silay

The Public Employment Services Office of Silay City held its first Job Fair for 2012 at the Sen. Jose C. Locsin Cultural and Civic Center yesterday with a total of 410 applicants showed up, a press release from the city said.

Mariam Castandiello, Silay City’s PESO head, said this is the first job fair initiated by the city under Mayor Jose Montelibano.

Participating companies were Pan Asiatic, SM Supermall, Du Eksam, Teleperformance, Transcom, Hawaiian Philippine Company, Teletech, Travel Lounge, Bounty Agro Ventures, Uno Unlimited, Color Steel Corp. and Royal Spa, the pres release said.

Basing on PESO’s year 2011 record, the office has deployed more than 100 persons abroad, Castandiello said.*
