SP approves P126M
supplemental budgets

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Negros Occidental yesterday approved two more supplemental budgets of the provincial government and its Economic Enterprise Development Department, for a total of P126,722,338, within two months.

On motion of Board Member Salvador Escalante, chairperson of the SP committee on Finance, the SP unanimously approved the supplemental budget Number Three of the provincial government of P95,418,985.59, and the supplemental budget Number Two of EEDD, of P31,303,353.

Escalante said there were 27 appropriations listed under the P95.4 million supplemental budget, although the exact details were not yet available yesterday.

Meanwhile, P31.3 million supplemental budget for EEDD has been appropriated for the hazard pay and terminal leave benefits of government-managed hospital personnel, and other hospital expenses for operations.

In the previous month, the SP also approved the 2012 supplemental budget number 1 of the province of P64,732,000 and supplemental budget of the EEDD of P31,328,681.

The SP also approved the request of Governor Alfredo Maranon Jr. to endorse the passage of the two resolutions, and approve the amendment to the term loan agreements, to be entered into by and between the province of Negros Occidental and Development Bank, for a total of P198,748,506, to be used for the acquisition of heavy equipment and construction of the two-storey Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital, hospital improvements, support facilities, acquisition of machinery and hospital equipment.

The SP also approved the 2012 annual general budgets of La Carlota of P269,525,923; Calatrava – P125,695,755.43 and Pulupandan- P48,120,484.
