Downward trend seen in
LPG prices – Total

MANILA – Major liquefied petroleum gas player Total Philippines sees a “downward adjustment” in cooking gas prices even as it refused to speculate on figures unlike what independent retailers are doing.

“The trend now of LPG contract prices is downward and we are anticipating a downward adjustment,” Total Philippines manager for Corporate Communications, Malou Espina said.

Earlier this month, Total implemented price hikes amounting to P7 per kilo or P77 for every regular cylinder of LPG. But Espina said that “seasonality” was now driving prices of the sensitive commodity down.
