TESDA head arriving
today in Bacolod

Director General Joel Villanueva of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, will be in Bacolod City today to speak at a forum of the Bacolod-Negros Occidental Federation for ICT and at the commencement exercises at the West Negros University.

The BNeFIT IT-BPO human resource dialog and induction of officers will be held at The Chalet, L”Fisher Hotel this morning where Villanueva is expected to speak about TESDA programs for ICT-BPO growth, particularly the training of more quality call center agents, animators, medical transcriptionists and other critical qualifications, a TEDSA press release said.

He will also induct the BNEFIT Officers and Board of Directors for 2012-2013, and consult with the BPO companies, training providers and academe, students and BPO workers later, the press release added.

In 2010, President Benigno Aquino allocated P500 million to TESDA for BPO worker’s training, the press release added.*
