The Commission on Higher Education has authorized the Negros Oriental State University to offer Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program, for five years, starting this school year.
President Dr. Henry Sojor of NORSU made the announcement after receiving the Certificate of Deputization from CHED for the school to offer ETEEAP in Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication, Bachelor of Science in Criminology, and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
The MassComm and Criminology programs belong to the College of Arts and Sciences, while business administration is under the College of Business and Accountancy.
The Certificate of Deputization was signed March 5, 2012 by Dr. Patricia Licuanan, CHED chairperson.
Licuanan said CHED hopes that NORSU will implement the ETEEAP efficiently, keeping its integrity and ensuring that quality of learning is maintained, as it provides working undergraduates the access to higher education through the system of equivalency and accreditation.*RG
