Bacolod police EOD
lacks personnel

BY ADRIAN NEMES III

Bacolod City Police Director Senior Supt. Ricardo de la Paz admitted yesterday that their Explosive Ordnance Division lacks personnel and does not have adequate equipment.

De la Paz said they only have one bomb expert and few equipment and armaments, like anti-bomb armor.

“We will request the city government to help us acquire these armaments and will send personnel if there are trainings for bomb disposal”, he said.

Last year, the Bacolod City government gave P1.5 million for the purchase of gear and for the training of the members of the Special Weapons and Tactics Unit.*APN
