3 job fairs slated
for work abroad

The Public Employment Service Office in Bacolod City is conducting three job fairs for local and overseas employment starting today until April 13, Moises de la Cruz, PESO manager, said yesterday.

The representatives of East West Placement Center, Inc. will have an employers’ interview on skilled workers today at 9 a.m. at the MassKara Hall, of the Government Center for job vacancies in Saudi Arabia, de la Cruz said.

The agency needs engineers, specialists in HVAC chiller and control, foremen, technicians for HVAC chiller and control.

They also need supervisors for pump control, senior technicians for plumbing and pumps, technicians for water treatment and pump, helpers, and operators for the pump station and the control room.

Meanwhile, Sykes Asia needs center agents for its office in Manila and the human resource personnel of the company will be in Bacolod on April 3 for the initial screening at PESO, de la Cruz said.

On April 10 and 11, representatives of Greenfields International Manpower Services, Inc. will conduct interviews for domestic helpers to work in Hongkong, Malaysia, Singapore, and Dubai, while on the 12th and 13th, representatives of MSL Stars Human Resources Corporation is scheduled for its initial interview for skilled workers, professionals, and domestic helpers, he also said.

De la Cruz said applicants have to bring their resumes, diplomas, transcript of records, training and employment certificates. He added that those applying for overseas jobs must bring their original passport during the interview.

He also said job seekers must come in decent attire, reminded them that shorts and slippers are not allowed. *LTG
