Batch ’82 grabs leadership
in NOHS Alumni bowlfest

Batch ’82 led in the premiere division, as Class ’80 and Batch ’95 kept the leadership in bracket B and C of the Negros Occidental High School General Alumni Homecoming Inter-Class Bowlfest For Unity 2012 at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

The new leader has a total of 16,038 pinfalls dislodging former top qualifier Class ’73 bowlers, who posted 15,975 points only, with a dismal performance in the fifth round.

Third spot is Class ’97 with 15,942 followed by Class ’66 with 15,893.

Phelps gets ready
for London Olympics

Michael Phelps won the 100m butterfly and was runner-up in the 100m freestyle at the Indianapolis Grand Prix, but the Olympic swim star did not impress coach Bob Bowman.

Nathan Adrian managed to ignore his torn swimsuit to hold off hard-charging Phelps in the 100m free final, winning in 48.62sec. Phelps was second in 48.74.

Phelps bounced back with his 100m fly victory in 52.23, but Bowman said the 14-time Olympic gold medallist was not paying enough attention to the details.
