Cops: Suspects in death of
teenager unidentified
BY JUDY F. PARTLOW

Police are still clueless as to the motive and identity of the suspects, who shot dead a teenager, Sunday night, at the national highway in Barangay Banilad, Dumaguete City.

An initial police report said the victim, identified as Ricky Armentano, 18, of Banilad, succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds before reaching the hospital.

Witnesses said the victim was talking to someone on his mobile phone near a resto-bar in the highway, when the two suspects, on board a motorcycle and whose faces were covered, shot him, the police said.

Witnesses Ian Salatan and Nathan Josua, residents of Banilad, told investigators they heard three bursts of gunfire. The police recovered three spent shells of a 9-millimeter caliber revolver at the crime scene.*JFP
