MassKara showed ‘em

All roads led to the Bacolod Government Center 11:30 a.m. Saturday, to witness the inter-town grand finals of ABS-CBN's “It's Showtime”, with the MassKara Dancers as one of the finalists.

We took the Lopez Jaena Street from the clinic of Dr. Louly Villasin to avoid traffic. When we arrived home, it was not too late to watch the show in the inter-town edition format, one competing group shall dance in the TV studio or the onsite group, while another performs simultaneously at their home base, called the offsite support group. The Bacolod MassKara successfully passed three daily and one weekly and one monthly competition and was vying for the P3 million grand prize.

Enthusiastic Bacoleños flocked to the Government Center to support the offsite MassKara dancers and cheer the performance live on TV. And in spite of the scorching heat, the city government, headed by Mayor Bing and Vice Mayor Thaddy, took the lead in applauding the dancers. Pandemonium broke loose when the Bacolod MassKara was declared the grand winner. Big congrats!
