Billiards icon Francisco “Django” Bustamante is once again on top of the world after winning the 2012 West Coast Challenge held at the California Billiards Club in Mountain View, California, USA.

Bustamante, playing under the banner of Puyat Sports, scored six in a row to beat Raj Hundal of India, 8-4, in the finals and capture his second event title in the 10-Ball last April 29.

Sportsman/businessman Aristeo “Putch” Puyat hailed Bustamante’s victory, saying, “Once again, our flag has been raised in this foreign land.”

The Tarlac City cue master went home with the top purse of US$ 5,200 to raise his total money earnings for the week to US$ 8,200.

Last April 25, Bustamante downed John Schmidt of the USA, 4-2, in the One-Pocket event finals for the US$ 3,000 champion's purse.
