Army honors WV partners

Four mayors in Capiz and Iloilo, 15 individuals and non-government organizations in Negros and Panay were honored yesterday by the Army’s 3rd Infantry Division, that marked its 38th foundation anniversary, at Camp Macario Peralta in Jamindan, Capiz.

Maj. Enrico Gil Ileto, 3ID Public Affairs Office chief, yesterday the plaques of appreciation given to local officials, civilians and non-government organizations, were to recognize their efforts for the advancement and promotion of the Internal Peace and Security Plan- Bayanihan.

The honorees from Negros Occidental were Caryl Anne Diamante of Bantay Bata 163 of the ABS-CBN- Bacolod, Lt. Col. Nelson Gerona Crusade, which is headed by Ginalyn Gerona, Negros Defense Press Corps and the Dumaguete Press Club.

Major General Jose Mabanta, 3ID commanding general, expressed his gratitude to all their partner agencies and individuals for their continued involvement in winning the peace human security, development and progress. * GPB
