Senator Manny Villar has signified his intention to file Senate versions to the measures proposed by Bacolod Rep. Anthony Golez Jr., a press release from the office of Golez said.
These are an act redefining the composition of barangay officials and providing for additional support and compensation for barangays officials, amending for the purpose Sections 387 and 393 of R.A. 7160 or the Local Government Code of 1991 and for other purpose;
An act providing for additional support and compensation for educators in basic education and for other purpose; an act compelling intermediate grade schoolers, secondary, vocational and college students to plant trees in an open space of the community as part of their curriculum as prerequisites for graduation and for other purpose, among others.
Golez said “I am honored and privileged for the interest of Villar in helping me carve laws that will make our country better,” the press release said.
As of May 2, 2012, Golez has filed 179 bills and resolutions, 100 of which are of his principal authorship, the press release said.
Recently he also filed House Resolution 2364, or A resolution congratulating and commending Jasmine Lee for being elected as a members of South Korean Parliament on April 12, 2012, and House Resolution 2365, or a resolution congratulating and commending Fr. Edwin Gariguez for winning the 2012 Goldman Environmental prize in ceremony held in the United States of America at the San Francisco Opera House on April 16, 2012, it the press release added.*
