Sagay police
chief gets medal

PNP chief Director General Nicanor Bartolome has conferred on Chief Inspector Gabriel Gutierrez and SPO4 Noel Olaera the Medalya ng Papuri recently at the Police Regional Office 6 headquarters in Iloilo City, on their outstanding performance, in the recovery of six stolen motorcycles from an organized crime group in northern Negros.

The recovery of the motorcycles by the Sagay, Cadiz police and the Highway Patrol Group in northern Negros in February, led to the unmasking of the members of the organized crime group behind the series of motorcycle thefts in that area, police records show.

Charges of carnapping have been filed by the police against the identified suspects

In his speech during his visit to Camp Martin Delgado in Iloilo City, Bartolome commended the awardees from the various police units in Negros Occidental and Iloilo, and encouraged all PNP members to internalize the idea of " Serbisyong May Pagkukusa". In order to be good police officers, you must internalize and practice what have they have learned in their trainings, he said.

“We shall develop competencies, we shall enhance individual skills. By doing so, we shall win the community over to our side. The police and the community will then have a formidable team against any threats to peace and order.” Bartolome said.*
