Multi-million
amusement park eyed
BY CARLA GOMEZ

A group of investors is conducting a preliminary study on the construction of a multi-million amusement park either in Talisay or Bacolod cities, Negrense businessman Reynaldo Bantug said yesterday.

People from the Enchanted Kingdom in Laguna are helping us with the preliminary study, Bantug, president of Leisure and Resorts World Corp., said.

“The amusement park is actually one of Cong. Albee's (Rep. Alfredo Benitez) ideas to promote tourism and livelihood in Negros and the third district. Hopefully, the study finds it feasible,” Bantug said.

He said they hope to draw people, not only from Negros Occidental but from Panay and Cebu to the amusement center, which will be similar to the Enchanted Kingdom.

We have to decide on the theme of the amusement center and whether there is a viable market for it, Bantug said.

An investment of about P150 million is expected to be put in if the construction of the amusement center pushes through, he said.*CPG
