WV still first After one week of competition, the National Capital Region retained its overall championship title with 11 team titles in elementary and 13 in secondary division, while Western Visayas earned six team titles in elementary and five in the secondary to remain first runner-up in the 2012 Palarong Pambansa that ended Saturday in Lingayen, Pangasinan. Western Visayas had the chance to earn more points in ball games as the elementary and secondary basketball boys’ team and high school girls squad, together with their teammates in volleyball and elementary football advanced to the semifinals, but only the basketball girls managed to advance to the championship round, and eventually, won the crown. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
