serviced by vet office

A total of 5,377 farm animals were given antibiotics, vaccines, vitamins, and dewormer shots in a veterinary mission conducted by the Provincial Veterinary Office in the towns of Cauayan, Hinobaan, and Ilog recently.

Dr. Merie Ann Adlaon, mission coordinator, said yesterday that farm animals like cattle, goats, carabaos, poultry, and swine were examined and provided treatment, castration, check-ups, and laboratory diagnosis, free of charge to their owners.

They also collected fecal samples from cattle and carabaos for parasite occurrence monitoring so they can detect the parasite infections common to large ruminants like cattle and carabaos and provide treatment for them, Adlaon said.
